If you ever buy flowers for your wife or girlfriend, give them to her in the morning. That way she'll have at least eight hours while you are away at work to romanticize about how wonderful you are. If you give them to her in the evening when you get home, she'll have the visualization of you sitting around on your fat butt drinking beer in your boxer shorts. Surprisingly, that doesn't achieve the same effect.

I made a trip to the grocery store for her this morning to get some sugar for a cake she is baking. And I saw the flowers there screaming to me, "Buy me, buy me." So I did, and after I gave them to her, I left for work. On the way I thought, "This is cool. She's going to think nice things about me all day and I won't be there to screw it up." lol
Nice plan man, nice plan.
My wife does not like flowers. A book on other hand...
